Botulinum Toxin (Anti-wrinkle injections)

Injectable anti-wrinkle treatments often referred to as ‘Botox’ are used to prevent new lines from forming or to treat existing fine lines and wrinkles.
A small amount of Botulinum Toxin type A (Botox/Azzalure), a naturally occurring protein, will temporarily relax facial muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Each dose is tailored to the client’s individual need after an in depth consultation.
The treatment can take up to fourteen days to reach its full effect and generally lasts between 12-16 weeks.
The 3 areas that can be treated are the Glabella (frown,“11’s”), Frontalis (forehead) and the Orbicularis Oculi (crows Feet). A top up, if needed is included in the cost but must be booked in between days 10-14 after initial dose.
Polynucleotides

Polynucleotide solution has the capability to send specific signals to the skin at a cellular level to bring about the actions we would like it to perform, so when it is injected into the skin it offers the following benefits:
- Increases cellular turnover leading to fresher looking skin
- Increases production of elastin to reduce skin laxity
- Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Improves the micro-circulation to improve brightness
- Reduces dark circles under the eyes
- Keeps skin hydrated
- Plumps the skin and reduces hollowness under the eyes
HOW ARE POLYNUCLEOTIDES DIFFERENT TO DERMAL FILLERS?
Dermal fillers are usually made from a synthetic version of hyaluronic acid and act as 'implants' in the skin to volumise, hydrate and improve skin folds, wrinkles etc. Whilst dermal fillers can be amazing for some skin concerns there are occasions when a dermal filler is not the right choice and polynucleotides are more appropriate.
For example, many people seek tear trough treatment for a tired, hollow undereye area but they may not be suitable for dermal filler. This may be because the hollowness is not deep enough, or the skin is too thin, they have dark circles or they have some undereye puffiness. So for these individuals who are not suitable for tear trough treatment, polynucleotide treatment may be much more appropriate.
I solely use Croma’s PhilArt polynucleotide which is derived from Trout instead of the more commonly used Salmon. I really rate Croma for their education, guidance, support and science.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
For best results I recommend 2 treatments initially (2-4 weeks apart) with a top-up session around every 9-12 months to maintain the results. Unlike dermal fillers which offer instant results, polynucleotide treatment requires some patience, with best results seen 2-3 months following treatment.
General Consultation

I offer either a face to face or facetime consultation (dependant on treatment) to go through treatment options, costs and to devise a plan on how to achieve your desired result.
I will always be honest, but a kind, and realistic honest.
I will never over sell you anything.
I will not treat you with anything you do no need or would not benefit from.
I will always treat you with kindness and compassion and any discussions are confidential.
(A consultation is legally required before a Botulinum Toxin treatment, and advisable before a filler)
Sculptra

Collagen is a structural protein that keeps our skin firm, plump, and youthful. However, as we age, collagen production decreases and you may start to notice wrinkles, loss of definition and other signs of ageing, such as saggy skin, jowls and hollows. By the age of 45 you will have loss around 25% of your natural collagen.
Sculptra is most suited to those who have facial volume loss due to the aging process, weight loss, breakage of fat pads and general laxity of the skin, as it addresses the whole face. It is also suited to those who are looking for an anti-ageing treatment with results that are gradual, long lasting and completely natural looking, so nobody will be able to guess your secret!
A Sculptra treatment is performed using a cannula to reduce any risk of bruising. The after care is vital to ensure the maximum benefit, and given to you during your appointment, with instructions also being emailed. You will need to massage your face 5 times a day, for 5 minutes, for 5 days.
Sculptra has a long-standing safety record and is FDA approved for cosmetic use. Once injected your skin will improve gradually over a period of 6-10 months and the results will last approximately 2 years.
Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are a unique anti-ageing treatment, quite unlike any other on the market.
Skin boosters are stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid used for the treatment of tissue remodelling and skin laxity, free of any chemical crosslinking agents.
Unlike filler, skin boosters are not used specifically to add volume to the face. Rather a boost in a structural way supporting the tissue where it is needed, as well as giving hydration and stimulating the skin to generate new collagen and elastin.
Skin boosters give an all round glow, smoothing and refreshed look whilst avoiding any major facial changes. It is a lovely product for all ages.

Obagi’s systems and individual products can also help to treat skin concerns such as acne, and are clinically proven for every skin type and tone – there really is an Obagi for everyone.

Dermal filler

Dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid based soft tissue filler gels designed to be injected into the skin to temporarily soften or correct wrinkles, folds, lines or scars, and to correct, support and lift the skin.
I only use FDA approved, clinically safe, “Gold Standard” fillers that are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in our body.
